on aother note cold it be modified to run off the van battery?

A couple of pics..... its installed but not yet completed.

Need to tidy the hoses, metal plate behind the heater, and secure the tank better.

But its a start, and I have a good flow of hot water.

I've got myself some tidy hose clips ( the same ones the battery cable is going through) for the hose pipe.

A couple of battery's .. the big chuncky ones ( not sure what the size is called)

UK low pressure regulator

A sticker to say your carrying LPG Gas..

I'm going to fit a fire extinguisher too -

errrrr..... thats it I think.

Its such an easy set up.....

Just make sure your Di 'Out' goes to the Heater ' In'.... and you can't really go wrong.

I mentioned the shelve stays from wilkininsons and securing these to the van and then the heater to these didn't I?
If you look at the instructions there will probably be something about it being vertical...

can someone take a pic of the inside from the top so i can see the exhaust?

can it be channeled off out the back door, no way would i want to put a vent in the van however i would like to channel it out of back doors

I'm sure its possible,... but I've gone 8 months already on 1 set of batteries and they're still going strong,.. so its prob not worth the hassle.

Instructions.... there the things you read after you have put it altogether ( usually sat on the loo) 

Your right though, it probably doe's say something about it being vertical. I've got to reposition the heater slightly, so I'll attend to that issue then.

Irun mine for a full twenty mins with the back doors shut (to windy to leave open as on a busy road) and when i opened them there was hardly any smell at all and the van was as warm as toast

The main issue (leaving carbon monoxide aside) with van doors shut is auto shut off  because of low oxygen. The heater will not then reststart for a while. They do normally shut off if enclosed after about five minutes.

my doors was not shut closed had 8ml micro bore running out of it

so it was not air tight

Maybe fitting one of those spinning air vents in the top of your van would be a good idea, not sure what their exact name is or where to get them thou

may I suggest you all fit thermostatic mixer valves. same temperature all the time guaranteed.

no fiddling about with gas numpty to get temperature just right, turn your heater up and it will just kick on and off as required, giving the mixer valve enough heat to supply the required temp.

you can't smell carbon monoxide.... be careful
