I've had mine less than a week. I also have the dual trim version. I have been using them both with hot wfp. The dual trim brush is excellent but the single trim versions bristles are all starting to lean over and they are interfering with the jets
The bristles are much tighter around the jet hole on the single trim version, it may benefit to trim them a little around the jet hole as you are using hot water. Out of interest how are you finding them with hot water? What is the water temperature at the brush? apart from the bristle getting in the way of the jets on the single trim how are they standing up to it?
We did not specifically develop the brushes for hot water applications, but it is interesting to see how they will last. I did test the bristles in 100 degrees water and they did deform slightly, but generally hot water systems do not run at this sort of temperature!
Hi Alex,
I am running at 52 degrees C at the brush head. The bristles dont seem any different when using hot or cold. The bristles (after a few days) are all leaning towards each end of the brush, and the very tips are in the stream. As you said the extra space around the jets and the shorter bristles on the dual trim stop this so for me I prefer the dual trim.
I am also concerned about longevity of this brush as it looks hammered and I have only used it for a few days. I feel that this brush is expensive for what it is considering I dont think its going to last very long, I have Vikans that are over a year old and still going strong, however the bristles on a vikan are too hard IMO.
The dual trim I have used everyday for a week longer and its fine! I know they are the same bristles but maybe the shorter length of the inside bristles makes it stronger. I wold like to see a few more inside bristles for added scrubbing power and also to give the outer bristles some support. The dual trim is my favorite brush but the single trim isn't in the same league IMO.
Having said all that well done for producing a good and light brush. I think it is ideally suited to the SL2. The dual trim could be used everyday, But the single trim is not up to everyday work IMO.
I hope that helps Alex?
Kev
