Weight is a major issue, size is another.
Vikans are good brushes but too heavy & bulky with the sill brush being like a breeze block.
Aeriels are light but over-splayed & some of their claims on their website are, let's say, very debatable at the very least! Doesn't instill confidence.
Super lites are very light but as a newbie you're probably overwhelmed by the choice & descriptions?
In 7 years wfp the brushes I've used are-
Unger flocked
Vikan oval flocked 10"
Vikan oval flocked 16"
Vikan rectangular flocked
Vikan rectangular mono
Various Salmons
Gaz swivel (Salmon mono)
Cleantech's own brush
Pro-window dual trim
The new style Vikan flocked 10"
SL DT mono
SL ST mono
SL DT flocked standard splay
SL DT flocked 15 degree splay
SL DT flocked 0 degree splay
SL Xtreme 10"
These are just the ones I can immediately remember.
All I use now are Super lites (SL), my advice to you, in your circumstances & with the CLX pole is to go for the SL DT semi flocked (flocked) either 15 degree or 0 degree.
The "degree" refers to the angle that the bristles protrude from the stock at. Standard = wide splay, 15 = a gentle splay & 0 = no splay. The less splay, the more accuracy you have with the brush, which IMO is very important.
Hope that helps a little
