mark i use my brodex brush for cleaning the van on a short unger pole! ;D ;D ;D

ive used

vikan rectangle mono

supalite dual trim mono

supalite dual trim flocked

vikan stiff sill brush(used for conny roofs/fascia cleans)

the vikan mono is good on a few commercial at 30 ft but my everyday brush on my main pole is the supalite DT flocked.great brush!takes a bit of getting used to though but i love it now!

i do agree the supalite mono it poor at scrubbing and it drags too much on leaded windows.

Unlike the Aerial, it doesn't come with a totally useless scraper either! ;D

WinproClean, im not anti gardiners like the Doc, but i do you the aerial brush, and it does have some flaws just like the SL Mono has flaws, BUT, have you actually tried the brush for yourself? fair enough if you have.

I don't need to Lee. I only need to look at it to know it's a hideous creation. ;)

Oh, & has The Doctor tried all the super lites to know how rubbish they are?

Oh, & don't take the banter too seriously! ;D

 hi all
nice and conclusive i have a very clear picture of what to get. ;D ;D

As iam getting a clx will get the supalite flocked with fan jets i think, seems to be popular.
cant decide on 0 degree or 15 degree.

Jeff the bentley brush is this a joke or isit really three pounds. i take it this will be a diy jobby drilling jet holes etc.

i have looked on the big pole and this is a supalite but doesnt say which one its got supalite on it and black might borrow it stick it on the clx.

cheers

john

Yes Bentley brushes are about three quid. They are what the original superlight was based on. Worked fine too but didn't last too long. You have to remember before the current Superlights were produced there was nothing out there light enough to be used on carbon modular poles apart from adapted Bentleys. Any brush will work to some degree, Vikans have always been good but they were never made with lightweights in mind.
Also what suits one person won't suit all. my favorite is the dual trim mono whereas others swear by the dual trim flocked. it's very easy to blame the brush when you do a bad job when usually it's the operators error.

My advice is get a vikan sill ................

Why would you advise this? The Vikan sill brush is a specialist brush, it very heavy and unless you need a specific requirement to scrub sills and need bristles everywhere its frankly overkill. And as the OP has said he intends on using a CLX pole  which is a lightweight pole it will make his pole bend and flex uneccesarily and he won't get the benefit of either. Anyone can scrub sills with a standard brush, just 'angle it'.

and a  red aeriel brush nobody likes the vikan because it makes there arms hurt ;D
I've strong arms so I find it a great brush and the superlite poope as it just bounces off the glass and scratches sills and frames.
Aeriel is amazing brush.much quicker to use than  the rest and cleans glass really well as it does sills and frames.
The ariel brush certainley seems like a fine brush, you don't like the superlite in its various trims, filaments? Whatever, they're all subject to their fans or detesters. But one thing is for sure, he needs a lightweight brush on the end of a CLX and Vikan don't make any that i'm aware of. You can have the strongest arms in the world and they won't stop a lightweight composite pole being 'whippy' with a heavy brush on the end.

 Hi
There have been several threads recently about brushes one is now getting on for  hundred posts long, i know its subjective. but iam trying to chrystalize what i should get as i want new poles and hoses for the summer.

I have settled on the clx for pole. but i have read that many opinions for brushes.

 1.Tekbuk ariel is best

 2. gardners supa lite is best

 3. supalite mono for first cleans

 4. vikan sill brush for first cleans

 5. supalite flocked 15 degree for maintenance cleans

i dont want to start the whole thing again, but could someone say why they feel one is better than the other. and what is the difference between flocked and not and wht 15 degree?

cheers

 john

see what you have started ;D
