Excellent machine, mine rarely comes off the van.

Had nearly two years with no problem,, easily runs 3 lengths of hose.

Only problem really is the heaters aren't all that.

Would agree with Andy on the heaters but mine did last 2.5 years. Great machine, easy to lift in and out of van. Watch cooling fan on front of machine. If you miss the clean water tank and it runs down the front it can short the fan. I just have a towel stuffed into handle to catch any drips. Apart from heaters, everything else is good.

Regards

Jon

Mines 2 years old, the newer ones do indeed state 'real heat'

Basically the ones in mine are fantastic if the water is 'mildly warm' it really heats it up. if it's clap cold then it barely touches it

Terry

I had the opportunity to "play" with a Speedster at a suppliers Open Day  a few years ago. I must say I was very impressed with the performance and it seemed to work well with the AW29 wand supplied with it at the time. From this short experience, the only thing I was wary of was the very small aperture for filling the tank. Easy to spill water.

Since then, I have spoken to quite a few people who were displeased with their Speedsters, or new someone who was. The problems I've heard of are from overspilt water affecting electrics and premature component failure, particularly non-Lamb vacs and heaters, along with support from their suppliers. I know of one distributor who, so the story goes, stopped selling them for this reason.

It's up to yourself to decide what to buy, but I must say that your experience today may be an indicator.

Safe and happy cleaning :)

what about the Power flite PFX 1350 perfect heat, a scorpion or an airflex with an inline heater or the Alltec. Plenty of other options.

Sorry to hear of your bad luck Terry, but yes I would leave it back and get refunded. Plenty more machines to choose from.
