Are we talking domestic customers here? If so, is it in an area recently hit by a local mass redundancy?
TBH i've found that as long as people are working, they've still got to get their housework done. If they didnt like doing it / weren't able to do it before, i doubt very much the thought of saving a bit of money is incentive enough. Especially in window cleaning? I pay £30 a quarter for mine and it would take a lot for me to give that up.
Do you think prehaps the 'reccession' is an excuse to ditch a window cleaner they don't like much?
