Anyway good luck to him and everyone else, no matter what you want out of window cleaning.

Remember we cant all become millionares.

It is  ;D  but he is funny with it.

I find some of the postings on here quite bizarre, Im well and truly in the L.J Thrope/Tosh camp. Its been said before, this is window-cleaning, it AINT rocket science.

It also seems some people on here think ABOUT window cleaning too much rather than just going out and DOING window cleaning.

Stop analysing and get on with it.

I've never bullied, nor licked ass; I can prove it too; here's an extract from my 'Red Book' (I've blanked out certain bits I don't want made public knowledge for my own personal reasons; nothing bad; just 'aw shucks' embarrassing).

I've also got a lovely thankyou letter published in soldier mag, to ME, from a private soldier thanking me publically for all the help I gave him and his family when he was going through a tough time with a terminally sick child and a wife suffering with cancer.  I can post a copy of that up if you wish too.

Right, prove to me you're such a high flyer.  E-mail me a copy of your last tax return.

Ronnie,

I've got to go to the pictures now, but my e-mail is toshisba@yahoo.co.uk.

E-mail me your tax return and if it is of such a high-flying nature, I'll publically apologise and shut up; but I'm tired of all the waffle I've been reading recently about earnings.

Taxable profit? What does that mean - you didn't pay any tax?

Ewan

In a previous thread you were talking about charging £125 for 1 hours work (or 3 hours work if you included ‘quote time’ and traveling time !!!).

You ‘more or less’ said that anyone charging less didn’t know how to run a business.

I’m surprised you had ‘no taxable profit’ in your second year when you claim to ‘know the true cost’ and therefore charge accordingly!

Even at a ‘lowly’ £30 per hour – if you worked only 5 hours a day, for only 4 days a week, for 50 weeks you would have earned £30,000.

To not have any ‘taxable profit’ out of that, you must have had some whopping Capital Expenditure, Daily Running Costs/Maintenance Costs and Vehicle Costs

My thoughts too. Probably spending too much time on here and not earning money.

Ewan

You have made some good points in earlier threads but I think that you have got ‘under the skin’ of some people by ‘telling’ them how they should be running their business when you have only been running yours for about 18 months.

A lot of people may not be realising their ‘full’ potential (I might be one of them) but are quite happy with their way of life.

Others will pick up on any good ideas/suggestions and become that bit wealthier (but not necessarily happier).

Everybody has different ‘goals’ in life and not everybody wants to be a millionaire.

Even new starters can have good ideas that ‘old hands’ will take on board – but suggestions should be ‘offered’ not rammed down people’s throat.

Good luck in Year 3.

Ewan, you have lost me completely on this one, if you put everthing you ever earned back into your business then how have you lived? Do you have a partner with a huge income or do you live at home with mum? To talk anout not making a profit untill year three then your ideas are hardly good advice to the majority.
