This an independant and impartial publication
Hi Curious,
I'm happy to be shot down on this but the above statement is wrong.
I took out a subscription to support Phil in what I thought was an admirable venture - namely to provide an alternative to the Fed mag, which was only available to members. Funding for the initial issue was obtained from the good offices of Ionics, and I think this was supposed to be a stopgap measure while PWC found its feet. As has been seen, the publication needed a further influx of funds or could not have continued. Ownership of PWC magazine was taken over by Ionics.
This is not meant to sound anti-Ionics, but if I'd known from the outset that it was going to be owned/funded/sponsored by them, I have to say that I wouldn't have bought it. I cancelled my subscription because I don't see much point in paying to read a publication whose adverts are mostly for the same company/group of companies.
Stated Interests:-
I have been on an Ionics course, but have not bought any of their systems or equipment. I might attend further courses, and I might change my mind about purchases.
I still have green stars, but am not an "active" mod.
