I've recently bought a van and hopeing to get it signwritten shortly, just looking for some advice/tips on what to get put on it,
is it best to keep it "plain and simple?"
Any pics of your signwritten vans wud be great to give me some inspiration!

Make it look as professional as possible!

Polemans is a good example. Looks for very professional and especially appealing to commercial customers

If you just clean domestic properties, I would consider magnetic advertising signs that you can take on and off the van or car when you like, just have simple wording like `WINDOW CLEANER`followed by your telephone number underneath, and your name.

Its also a idea to maximumise your advertising by wearing those highly visable bibs/vest over the top of your workwear, these could be printed with your company name on it.

Its also a idea to place a leaflet or card holder on the outside driver or passenger window for people to take your litriture when passing your vehicle.

Clean both domestic and comercial 50/50 and have got the polo shirts and hi vis vests all embroidered, just looking for sum ideas to sign write the van......... :

But i would just have WINDOW CLEANER and your TELEPHONE NUMBER in big bold lettering in the same style, and then your company name in smaller writing alongside a colourful logo of a window cleaner man with ladders on the right handside (try microsoft website for artwork).

Also think about your lettering and fore ground as a colouring option, what every day famous signs work that instantly catch your eye?

Have you seen those two dimention signs that change when you look at them from a different angle? what about hologram signs?

Do you see what im getting at?, by the time you drive pass people on the road or park up, they will have very little time to take down all your details (basically they don`t care what you call yourself as long as your a window cleaner and they can see your telephone number).

that looks nice! wanna get a new van at the end of the year and another in about 6 months, really moving towards vehicle wrap, good advertising for 1k-1.5k sets you apart from most others.

We have 2 colour sign written vans at the mo, cost us £150 per van. looks quite good but not as good as the wraps

A lot of people ask if we are a franchise so still must be sending off the right vibes

I would say £1000 + vat = £1175 is good value for money.  Divide this by the length of time you keep the vehicle.
 
Lets say you keep it for Six years. = 312 weeks
 
£1175 divided by 312 weeks  = £3.76 a week for advertising your business.
 
It's not bad and better than a lot of advertising.
