It used to be that if an employee was off sick he would bring me a sick note and I'd use that to claim his statutory sick pay back from the paye bill. That's been scrapped now and I need to cover it.Self employed people have very little in the way of rights.
I have just had 4 weeks off work after a gallbladder operation, and asked the same question. The answer is nothing. I know that what you didn't want hear but that's reality. If you are on benefits for low earnings though, you might get something from them.
Did an online calculation and siad I was entitled to £800 a month ! Never claimed a sausage in 40 years so all this is new to me
