I would reverse on the drive in the last picture
May aswell use a trolley or backpack.so much quicker.

I must admit that looks like overkill with the cones to me.I mainly use 1 but very occasionally will use 2.By using 4 as you have in those pics you are actually restricting the width of the pavement to pedestrians.Im not actually sure how the council and safety brigade would view that?
2nd picture you could have hooked hose over ladders onto tree then down onto grass.
I think if a pedestrian was walking down the pavement and saw that fiasco they would walk around the cones and mat in fear of it being a covered up .manhole or summit, then they still have the risk of tripping over the hose or getting run over
