Wrong city and guilds is training to do the job. but to get a nvq you would be assesed at your work place and get a portfolo to fill with jobs to show you are competent at what you do. Trust me they are totaly different things

Ok if thats what you think mate. just to say it dont matter whether you got the qualification or not a good window cleaner with out qualifications will always a better one that has some stupid bit of paper saying i am a muppet and went to colledge for some thing a customer would laugh in you face over. All a customer wants is a window cleaner that does a good regular job for a good price. It make me laugh you go around saying the industry is changing and people should evolve with it and get qualified but you still bodge poope equipment together that arn't even designed for the job.  Mate your a joke get a life

lol jealousy wont get you anywhere!

i have gain more work from large commercials since i have all the paperwork h&s etc behind me than a lot of the cleaners around my area!
plus was 1 in 5 for a £50,000 2 year contract, didnt get it as national got it, but to be 1 of 5 guys in the country to get asked to quote for it, i think thats good going as im only just starting my second year! oh by the way i scored a lot higher than that national did on a few sections!

regarding all my equipment everrything i use is designed for the job it does, because i have a set up that will outlast alot of named stuff for a fraction of the set up cost! with-in 2 months of starting my set up was all paid back, and well into profit, some guys pay £5000 plus and it takes ages for them to get there money back!

jelous my arse mate. And well done on the contacts but i bet still some one without those would get the jobs if they worked the same areas. A bit of paper does not make you any better as a company than any other

maybe not but it shows that you are upto date with all h&s and that in case anything happens to you you are covered, because if it goes to court they need all the proof that you are trained etc.

you dont need to be ladder trained, but if you have a fall and claim, thats the one thing that they look at first, if you arent then they dont pay out!
