I HAD TO WORK THIS WAY ONCE, WHEN I PULLED MY HOSE THROUGH THE POLE AND COULD NOT RETHREAD IT....I HATED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! ITS BAD ENOUGH HAVING TO DO IT USING THE SL2 VERY OCCASIONALLY. EACH TO THEIR OWN BUT I RECKON YOU ARE A TINY MINORITY WITH THIS ONE.
Anything 'new' is awkward to begin with. Do you remember what it was like trying to learn how to use a squeegy? At first doing 'pull down strokes' is easier and you may have hated 'fanning', but as time goes on, and you get better, fanning is far superior to 'pull down strokes'.
I've used internal pole hose, I've used taps, I've used the Aquadapter; external pole hose is superior to all that. It's cheap, simple (less to go wrong), quicker, doesn't get dirt up your internals (dirty internals isn't good). There's nothing to hate!
Maybe you're cack-handed though? And I think your forehead must've bumped the caps lock button as you were typing.
