So Ungers n-litened sooper-dooper 22 footer weighs the same as an SLX-30?

So the pole I bought 4 years ago and am still using daily (and which I can extend with an add on section and if I went mad could use with the hose outside) and which is 8 feet longer than the new Unger is better?

Don't get me started if I bought an extreme!

Bwah-hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahah!

Come on Unger Knee tell me I've got it wrong and why ...

Looks poor to me. Those clamps insted of getting caught on guttering would proberbly rip it off, along with the side of the house.
The poorest thing though is to get a plant to hype it up.
We can see its heavy and see through your poor marketing.
Unger, we are not all as dim as your marketing dept.

It says "22ft reach" so I am assuming the actual pole is around 18ft.

wow this pole rocks, it is better than i expected.

who supplies it ???

soap national

Hi Gary, thanks to you mentioning these three suppliers i got to have a gander at the poles they have available. I havn't looked at them for a while. I couldn't seem to find any unger n lite poles for sale at all. I did find that www.polarbrite.co.uk have anounced they will have them soon. They where the only ones with prices on that i could see. The Unger poles are priced quite a bit higher than other similar ranged poles available from gardiners or The Waterfed Pole Companys  'Elite ' range.
I'm curious as to how you got your hands on one when Unger have recently announced this.........
Unger are set to release the nLite range of water fed poles and components. No-one actually knows what Unger have up their sleeve until the launch date (8th May) in Amsterdam.

But now they have given us the snap shots and info of it i'm not sure it lives up to the hype , and, yes admittedley i havn't even had one in my hands.

Is this the Game Changer?

Water Fed Poles have been around for a few years now. While we have seen sizeable changes in pole weight, clamps, etc There still a lot of room for improvement. We have yet to see a pole of all poles, a clear winner.  That maybe about to change.

I'm not so sure its abut to change with this Unger pole. It looks to me like they have almost copied the exact lateral clamp from gardiners, only they've made it more bulky. They also appear to have imitated the same clamp design and goosneck/fitting design that Gardiners use. Nothing wrong with that, to me, but i'm not sure that Unger claiming things are about to change on behalf of their new pole is an accurate description of who is leading the design.
Besides, i'm not a fan of these 'lateral clamps', i much prefer the more 'ergonomic' xtel pole clamps. Although Unger appear to be unphased by the use of a lateral clamp which appears more bulky than other lateral clamps, and definatley more bulky and less ergonomic than the other type clamps and proudly announce "yet the weight and ergonomics of the system still make it a pleasure to use". Maybe there's another aspect to 'ergonomic' that i'm missing. Anyway i'm uncertain as to what you expected from this pole when you say it exceeded your expectations, at first glance it appears heavier, less ergonomic and more expensive than anything in its class?
I know what you mean about people on here being like sheep over Gardiners products though. I think others are at it too !!! Look at the Carbon Modulite Modular Pole 36 foot for sale here
http://www.cleaningspot.co.uk/acatalog/Carbon_fibre_water_fed_pole.html
and tell me at first glance what does it look like, and whos style of signwriting does it immediatley remind you of ? ;D ;D

good post mike cam.

Just so im not branded a sheep, i have been using GARDINER products way before i joined any forum. some people take the fanaticism a bit far, but on the other hand any tradesman whatever the trade likes to use the best tools, think snap on for mechanics. makita drills etc(could be wrong there  ???) and when it comes to poles im affraid it is gardiners.

Are we sheep? or do the majority just recognise the best when they see it?

You didn't have very high expectations then!

I can only assume you've never been so fortunate as to be graced by the presence of a Gardiner Xtreme? ;D

better than all ive worked with, and you can easily have your hose on the outside of the pole, with these clamps, which save the mud etc going inside. The clamps are superb.

Hi Gary, incase you missed my question in my long winded response where did you get hold of your Unger pole, i can't find any for sale since their announced release yesterday?

Hi Gary - guess what I've just bought with my tax credits and dole money which I get from being on here all day? Was it an Unger? Was it an Ionics? Was it a Brodex?

No - it's a Gardiners Extreme 47 and extensions! So that's three Gardiners poles now - SLX22/SLX30 and extension and now this.

Still got my Unger teleplus and Unger squeegee though.  ;D

Baaaa! Baaaa!

You no what I'm here looking at a 500 psi carpet cleaner, however as a person with a cleaning business that does window cleaning too, I've been looking forward to seeing this new pole, I own a few different poles, however I'm giving an honest opinion of what I've seen.

Your all so defensive, suspicious , and easy to wind up, honestly go canvassing get some work.

You're in Holland, on a "Jolly" at 10.30pm and you're spending time on this forum?? ?? ??

And you think we're sad?  ;D

i ve looked around all different stuff out there and the gardiner range seems so well conceived . alex has put a lot of thought into his products . to me his company is the market leader and its up to the brodex /ionics /unger to catch up. imo
