I agree better than brush come from gardiners.infact the bentley is better quality.
Bentley 250gm , in some Aldis for £3
This is a joke and just so misleading to anybody who doesn't know it is bullpoop. You are talking about the gardiners like it is junk, it isn't and every brush I purchased from them I feel was value for money. I didn't like some of them but that was personal preference. Personally I think the DT flocked is the best yet. I have used the bentley and I hated it. There is just no comparison between the current Gardiners brushed and the bently or Vikans.

if someone just spent £45 for a superlite
they would want to be kept in denial
and convince themselves the bently/aldi brush is 15 times worse to use
What a joke. Can't you rely on how good your brush is instead of bitching on about Gardiners like a jealous little girl?

gimpo you havent used any aeriel brushes i have used 2 superlites and i hated them!
I love my aeriel on the fact i have used them and much prefer them to using a superlite! How it looks hideous i dont know?like someone says the superlite is a £3 brush and nothing more, but mugs like you but them for £40,end of day they are just for sweeping your kitchen with 2 jets on!
They are weak and bendy very poor and i have just picked up lots of work from someone who uses one and scratches the sills!
Thanks gardiners keep selling them so they can scratch every sill in sight! ;D

I don't need to, I've got one almost exactly the same that we keep next to the toilet, although the handle is a little longer & this one is much better quality! It even has it's own holder! ;)

Doctor windows are you a few years behind?

I think the Superlight your thinking of is the original from about four years ago, not the purpose made black stock ones of today.
If the latest ones are poop as you say then I think you must be a little strange.  ???

Doctor windows grow up Mate. Gardeners is a well respected company and many if not most window cleaner respect them for the strides forward  they  have made for this industry. So try taking your medication and be calm you know all this aggro is not good for you. ::) ::) ::)

good brush that mike for what it says, but have it down side ---------weight

i have 4 gardiners brushes in the van at mo,i can say that not one of them bend, ive never bloke one yet,i have never had a problem with them marking the sills, this i feel this done when the operator does know what hes doing,

i also have a few vikan brush which come with my first pole, very good brushes and will if iam honest out last a gardiners brush by miles,i have also used brodex brush less said the better,in one word crap.

the only problem i said ive found with the gardiners brush is the time it will last,12 mths if you are lucky, but i hear some people say theres are 2 1/2years old.i never had a problem with using it on first cleans again down to the person using it.

as anyone every tried a ionics brush hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm????????????? ;)
so the perect brush for me would the lasting vikan with the supalite weight.

Great posts mate and wise words with regards to the sill brush,

like many i was 'given' a vikan brush when i started wfp - yes good brushes and they should be as they
are for cleaning cars and lorries and weight is not an issue at this level - i found that even my 18 foot brodex
ali pole bent badly at full extention and the red rubber marked the sill.

when i changed to a SL the pole hardly flexed at all and i cleaned better purely as i had more control and not
fighting the weight at the other end, i have never known any of my SL brush heads to mark/scratch/damage any
frame or sill

i have also made up a bentley brush (£1.20 in a clearance bin) did a good job for a couple of months before the bristles wore away.

How long does a brush head last ? - depends on how much you use it ! - i like to change mine every 8 to 10 months
as i feel they do lose performance and show signs or wear thats just me - i'm sure they are still serviceable and 1
may change them cause i'm bored !

Lee - sorry off out in a sec,  is the attachment looks like the older silver plastic - my bush of that age bowed like that towards the end of its life - the newer ones have a black 'reinforced' brush attachment - this has stayed flat and is over 6 months old

catch ya later

Yawn
doctorwindows have you tried a supalite DT flocked(black one)?

much better than than the mono mate.its fantastic on leaded/georgian windows.nice and light and good scrubbing power.

dazmond

I agree

Unlike the Aerial, it doesn't come with a totally useless scraper either! ;D

Face it Doctor, It's pants! ;D Over priced, over splayed, little block of rock hard, sharp edged plastic! ::) :-*

your far to biased winproclean  to give a resonable opinion of any brush, including the superlites
doctorwindows and otheres have used the aerial brush and overall its got a decent review

the thing you forget, is just a few years ago choice of brushes was very limited
just over the past couple of years window cleaners have a much better choice
thanks to tecbuk, gardiners and other window cleaners
who have gone to the trouble to make brushes
i dont see the big manufactueres giving window cleaners more options

POT, KETTLE, BLACK!! :o :o :o :o

I love a Vikan flocked BUT too big & bulky. I dislike the SL ST mono.

If you & the other salesman weren't so OTT about them it wouldn't be so bad, you've done them more harm than good IMO. Oh, & if their website wasn't so full of "facts" that are actually "not facts" it might bolster a bit of confidence in the product.

Untill then, on visual ergonomics only, it's deffo not for me, might be for some but I've been using brushes long enough to know 2 things-
1. Half of what you purport is nonsense
2. There is no accuracy with such an exaggerated splay

 :) :)

your no expert on the subject of brushes mate
you have used some brushes, but thats as far as your understanding goes
if you want to think the aerial brush is not accurate, thats your choice
but think about this, when you use the aerial brush you control the level of splay
by how hard you push down the brush is predictable to use, you can push down with one finger
or use all your strength and that makes it fast and accurate
you carnt do that with any other brush

That's exactly what Gardiners flocked does - I have one in front of me now - push down lightly with my little finger and it splays so that the inner britles come into play.

I have a SL DT flocked standard splay. I can do the above with it just fine. ;)

As said, the bog Aeriel thingy's not for me. Might be OK for gutters though?

Usually when they scrape the stock on the sill, becuase they have the brush at the wrong angle.
