wheel bearings are not squeeking noises, they are a rumbling noise, due to failed bearings, squeeks could be low brakes pads or shoes or simply dust on them
Lads, telling you. If one small ball bearing compresses due to wear on top or below for that matter upon another, it will squeel like a pig, been there done it all with a guy who taught me well.
it seems to happen at high speed, ive tried pulling on the handbrake (not hard) to see if that changes the sound but it doesnt, so thats why i thought it was the bearing,i did take the wheel off and its a drum brake wheel, with a metal cap, i think that is prised off and a big nut there? there is a nipple which fits into a hole in the wheel, not sure if that needs removing too?looked on ebay and a new bearing is about £70what tools do i need?
