There's a big difference between not being offered a drink and actually refusing to give you one, particularly when you were polite enough to specifically ask for water. I would have walked off the job, its the principal of the thing. Its only money. I wouldnt dream of turning down a request for water from someone doing a job for me.

My first instinct is that i would not of asked. Given his rather sh***y reply i'd also reckon i would of second guessed that coming and defininatley not asked. He's probably never been friendly or concerned or even passed the time of day i'll bet.

Oh, and i'd just carry on and do the job. I wouldn't lose (presumably) a good paying job because i forgot to take water with me on a hot day.

The initial thread back in 2007 was about using the van's battery as a power source to run our wfp pump.

Some window cleaners advise that they do this successfully. We haven't had the same experience. My son initially had a Peugeot Partner van and his van battery went flat in 4 days. Later, the starter battery was replaced with a new one, and we tried it again. After 4 days the new battery was flat. So for us, it didn't work as we just don't do enough mileage to recharge the battery. However, years back, another windie had the identical van in the south, and he used his starter battery without issue.

A few years later, my son-in-law joined us with a Ford Transit Connect T230. His daily commute was 16 miles either way, plus another 10 miles maximum to his cleaning area. His van battery also went flat after about 6 cleaning days, even though he was also using his van for private journeys. We fitted a Numax battery with a split charge relay, and he had to put a charger on that battery every week.

Without a shadow of doubt I would sack him,what really annoys me about people with money is that clearly think there better than us working people just because they have money,what I often find with wealthy people is that they are rude,ingnorant,and have no manners.
That type of person wants to own you and your family and call all the shots.
