2 years ago, just before the first CCDO, there was a big debate concerning the Scorpion and the Prowler - which was best. There was even talk of a "contest" at CCDO between the two.
I was very interested in this because I had a Scorpion (the 300psi earlier model) and like the reports of the Prowler.
My interest was the price difference - say £3000 for a Scorpion to £5500 (think it was then) for the Prowler - some were saying "its not much dearer" - but I think £2.5k on £3k is a lot dearer.
Anyway, the "contest" never came about.
The upshot is - having worked both machines is that their is a good difference between them
Suction, heat (inline heater with the Scorpion) and convenience.
but my previous post was more about the other comment about moving from a TM to occasional use of what I assume is a 2 vac porty. I can move back to my 3 vac Scorpion comfortably - I prefer to use the Prowler, but when I have to use the Scorp. it does not bother me. With the right fluids for the condition, and agitation (Envirodri) and dwell, heat if I need it, I have no problem.
What I did say was "Yes the Prowler does pack more of a punch then the Scorpion but its still very good".
What I will say to anyone who has a good budget (cash, lease, borrow....whatever) is go for the Prowler, you wont regret it. After that, its got to be a 3 vac machine.... and I still reckon the Scorpion is the one to beat.
