wcw backpacks

just changed from trad to wfp and using lots of water on first cleans.

just wondering if i can fit a tap between wcw backpack and pole so i can turn off water between windows or will this damage the pump / battery in any way  ??? ??? ???

fit a trigger on ur ploe m8, that will work well ;D & it wont mess up ur backpack ;)

Yes you can and its not going to kill the pump, but your pressure switch may wear out sooner than if you didn't use a tap.

Another option would be to buy a remote on/off from ebay for about £30. That way it would just stop the water when you pressed the button.

if i fit a trigger on pole where does it fit in relation to the hose that goes up the pole ???
wont i just have loads of hose hanging when the pole is not fully extended ???
or am i just being dense :-\

no ur not being thick m8.... thats my job ;) yes u do get a fair bit of hose on the floor,
thats the down side 2the trigger ::) :(

To answer your question on burning the pump out with closing the tap= no as the pump has a automatic cut out if the tap was closed.

hi scott,,i have the same back pack and i just fitted a on,off tap to the end,it,s been working fine for the last 3 years,the only thing is you have to get used to how much you turn the tap on each time ,,but it,s great for £5.(the tap i mean).good luck,,,,kev

The window cleaning warehouse backpack usually comes with a tap.
I have a microbore tap on my backpack I bought form them.

we ordered 5 backpacks they all came with hoselock connector with a tap on it but only 2 of them actually stop the flow of water when you turn them off, i have also found that because they are plastic they are starting to show signs of wear and they are only 4 weeks old, i get the impression they might not last too much longer

maybe you could try gardiners? - push fit flow valve - just cut your pole hose and push fit the control valve on either end.

or try purefreedom for tap that just straps on your pole.
