small extraction machine
« on: March 07, 2010, 01:26:45 pm »
i'm after a small spotting machine and have no idea what i'm looking for other than......

when i did the advanced NCCA spot and stain removal course, paul peerce had a little machine he used in his demo's which i feel was the perfect size and power, but i can't remember for the life of me what it was called. so if anyone knows what machine paul uses could you let me know.

i basically want it to flush out anything that i'd use on a stain so i don't have to get the trucky out but i also need it to be small as i'm running out of room in the van.

cheers in advance.

Both Ashbys and Prochem used to do small portable spotting machines.
I've got the Ashbys one and it certainly comes in handy, reasonable vac & pump for stain removal work, also has heater built in.
Must admit, it wasn't cheap and I've no idea what they cost these days, i've had mine over 6 years now.
I'm sure the info would be on their website www.ashbys-uk.com

If there isn't enough time to do the job right,  how do we find the time to go back and do it again when the customer is not happy ?   Do it right the 1st Time.

I use the sphere,,, it was not cheap, around £1500 plus vat , I only use it for stairs and upholstery, it has decent heat, lightweight and never ever  breaks, my current one is 2.5 years old, and I will get another later in the year.

Derek get yourself a numatic ctd572 2x 1200w motors about 60psi on the pump 10 litre solution tank there bullet proof hade mine for years, parts are widley available when things go wrong and unlike some others they dont fall apart when chucked in back of van for every day trade use. i have cleaned mobile homes with my one when the portie kept tripping the electrics.

second hand flee bay £100 quid. sorted ;D

Derek,
I use a Prochem Bravo for flushing out stains.  It's great little machine and I picked up mine secondhand off ebay.  Think I paid around £300.

Derek if you go the numatic route make sure you get the 572 or 902 as the 2 on the end means 2x 1200w motors the 570 0r 900 are single 1200w motor so havent got the suck.

all the spec will be on numatics website.

Right going out its the wifes birthday going to take her for a meal getting funny looks.

That's covered - it's got the word Professional on it.  ;D
If it bothers you that much and it suits your need especially when "like i said its only for flushing out the odd stain or 2", just stick a sticker over the name.  ;)

Sorry mate, it was the CCDO forum, check these out:

Shaun uses this - Aquarius Pro Valet Carpet & upholstery cleaner - search this on ebay £199

and kev Loomes uses this - http://www.cleanstore.co.uk/products/Product.asp?ID=623&Pid=623b

copy and paste the link, £187 INC VAT, Shaun had one of these for years, said he'd go for this.

Derek i had the VAX from Argos for ages until my son decided to clean his 10 x 8 thick wool rug with it and burnt the water pump out using boiling water.

All I did was stick a sticker over the vax lable and Bobs ya Auntie
