I NEVER GO BACK.

i know its up to the customer, bla bla,

but i just dont, because its only a matter of time before you are dropped by them, as its a low priority a window cleaer, so chances are , you will be messed about constantly.

A lady loved that i could get above her conservatory, and always pulled the trad guy for missing windows .......

one day she said its forecast rain tomorrow, leave them please ...so i did... forever!

i know she will have to scrawl the yellow pages for a wfp guy, and will get one...

but i know and she knows she kicked me in the b******s.

i never go back if they say, leave it this time....and i dont even contemplate the business side of it, i will always get a replacement.....in fact the more quality customers i get the more i find it easy to drop them, and the slightly underpriced ones.
move on to positive business..... not negative maybe's.

leave it this time happens occaissionally , but as my whole round is very compact ( can be in the same couple of roads all day , quite often ) , then i just move on to the next one / next door !
however if i was travelling just for 1 , and they didnt want it , then i would drop them .

well said Franky,

there are the usual moaning winging window cleaners who feel the world owes them something,   just because a customer says leave it this month it sends them into a right strop so much so they have to come on here and tell everyone what a bad customer did and wanting everyone to feel sorry for them.

its idiots like these who give other w/cs a bad name,  how sad is that when someone has to post about a customer who wants to leave it this month

its becoming an industry where all w/cs do on here is MOAN MOAN MOAN  always wanting people to feel sorry for them.

I had 1 x £40 and 2 x £30 cleans ask me to leave it this month,  no problem I just book 3 other jobs in and get on with my day which as usual was enjoyable cos Ive got better things to do than feel the world owes me something.

maybe it would be best if these so called w/cs got a job in a factory or somewere else if they cant handle customer relations or having their tiny ego's hurt.

>Stephen s.

Whichever way you slice it you lost £100 when those custies decided to break their agreed frequency of window cleaning. Just because you brought stuff forward doesn't negate the fact that you lost £100 for the month. (or next month if you brought work forward from it)

Just because you don't train your custies as well as some on here please don't cast a withering assessment upon those of us that do. It seems to me that if a "not this month" statement from a custy is not an absolute rarity of the "I've found some rocking horse poo!" type then they are history. (After my explaining to them and giving them the option of changing their mind.)

Maybe if you cannot train your customers by way of sensible customer relations then you should get a job in a factory ...  ::)

so a custy cancells for that month      why let it ruin your day  so much so that you have nothing better to do than come on here for a good old moan

I'm passing on my observations and its the same old moaners who moan about the same subjects every time

one thing Ive learned over my 47 years on this strange but beautiful planet is don't turn a molehill into a mountain,  and anyone who cant deal with something so simple as a customer wanting to leave out a clean without them coming on here slagging them off leads a very sad and vacant life.

but hey thats not my problem as I go to work happy and come home happy,  and whatever challanges appear in between I deal with and then let it go.

you really have to decide to think positivly and you may be able to control your rants.

be happy and have a fantastico weekend

When you agree to have a service on a monthly schedule and break it what happens to your mortgage/phone bill/sofa? You get a letter asking why you've broken the agreement. Do it again and you get credit problems. I know w/c isn't a mortgage but the principle is the same - try telling your gardener you don't need him this month!

If you don't want it monthly then don't agree to it monthly.

If as a sole trader you want to be mesed around then don't hold your customers to your agreement - and then you can come on here having a dig at those who run their business more professionally.

I don't like cleaning in the rain and in anything above a light drizzle or odd shower I don't - but I respect those who have trained their custies that they will work through it and have learnt from their wisdom. I don't mock them for getting wet and looking desperate as I'm sure they work more days than I would with an attendant increase in dosh.
It's a game of three halves!
