Squeaks, if these customers are repeat offenders, drop them when you get more work than you can handle. Time wasters are worse than not having a customer at all in my opinion. I have adopted the attitude that as long as I think I am providing the best service I can - which means sticking to our original terms and conditions - that if a customer doesn't like some aspect, such as our agreed frequency, I will drop them if I can't solve the problem with a friendly chat.I like to keep work (and life) as stress free as possible.
.......And i will.......also next time, the time after that.....infact, all the time. It annoys me to hell. I have bills to pay as well. Gonna get tough this year as i don't need customers like that.
It was a pain in the arse job anyways. I wanna send her a sarcy text but i'm biting my tongue. What reply to you give the awkward swines gang? Or do i just keep her guessing for the next year or more
Sounds like a plan She WILL call me sooner or later. I'll just say that i'd better not do them just yet, as i hear it's gonna rain next month.
I had a "Leave it this time" (it looked like it may rain) about 4 weeks ago. normally I would dump but it’s a £40 pound job plus the next doors can only be accessed from the rear in this customers garden so that’s another £10 and also I need the key from them to access their sons place which is another £15 job so all in all they cost me £65 last month. I saw their son in the supermarket and told him I was thinking of dumping as I can’t be doing with the hassle, I turned up yesterday and was greeted with a pot of tea and freshly made jam tarts. ok ok so I am easily bought, but in my defence it was apricot which is my favourite.
