Many of my commercial contracts require a copy of my insurance details, and  even when it isn't requested I always include it with the quote pack as it helps convey the professional image I want for my business.

Yes!  I even tell the person who asks me for a quote that all his quotes should come with a risk assessment and method statement and a copy of their current public liability insurance; just to keep themselves safe in this litigious time.

One man band - £5Million public liability - too much at risk not to - although I hate spending out on the premium which I'm paying by DD monthly - to ease the pain.

        you need employers libility ins if u employ someone . so at about £90 its worth having public libility ins

That's ironic really.  It's not compulsory to have PL insurance but it is compulsory to have a license (for which PL is needed).
While I do feel that PL should be a legal requirement, I don't feel that the license should be.  Looks like things are a bit ar*e about face to me.

no tool cover just what iv stated my tools can be replaced cheaply so havnt bothered

I have had third party since the day I started window cleaning.
I suppose you can ask yourself how much you have to lose.
A young guy living with his mum and dad who owns next to nothing may take a chance, you can't get blood out of a stone.
I have a house that's paid for, so would never take the chance.

£2 million p/l. Includes property maintenance - I don't want to be doing a gutter clean and have a claim nullified because I "wasn't window cleaning".

thats what i have, i asked those questions £68.01 per year as long as your only a window cleaner be more if you do gutters etc,but £500 access which is alot but i want insurance incase i break something expensive plus that quotes got public liability up to £1 million

think about it whats the chance of you breaking something worth more than the £500 excess? you may as well pay for the damage out of your pocket!
