Hi
A 10p sized blood stain can be the size of a dinner plate underneath.
Does the person who bled have hepatitus B, Aids, HIV, is a drug user or on any cyto-toxic drugs?
If you fail to get all the blood out then what remains will decay and carry infection and may start to smell, also if you don't clean your machine properly then when you do the next job you will contaminate it with the blood.
If you don't wear correct PPE then you risk infection, what happens if you get a splash in your mouth, nose, eyes or ears, or an open cut?
Just be careful and weigh up the job to see if it's worth it.
The wick back means that the blood underneath is still there and you haven't extracted it all, so it has to be re-done and you will have to de-contaminate everything all over again.
Also using a sanitizer will do little good, you need a bio-cide which must stay on for at least 15 minutes.
Regards
Martin
