Alot of us are sitting on here too long in the last few days. Frustrations are coming to the surface now, I personally have real problems getting any WC work done since Dec 23rd. We have invested in alot of new kit lately. Money is tight and all that blah blah.

It's been in some cases upto 3 weeks since some of you boys have worked. What we don't need is "Hero stories" about how some of us who bashed on regardless, especially, when it's plus 3 degrees in their home town and you haven't got water freezing on glass or your kit falling apart because of cold damage.

Simbo and Gazzasp8 have hit the nail on the head in this thread on page 5 and 6. Ego's tend to get abit over inflated on here, but lets just remember, this white stuff will be gone in a few days (Hopefully).  Let's try and not make enemies with people just to be heroes eh?

Yes  Matt, that's the point, just above freezing, some of the guys on here have minus 5 and 6, then we get stuff like  "Well it hasn't effected me" or "Why not scrim". Some of these guys started WFP and have no choice. That's what I'm trying to get across mate. Did you read Simbo's post or Gazza's?

I like big Steven, and he is big. Look I dont post here too much but some of you guys just dont seem to get him at all. Take a step outside the bathroom. His posts can be as funny and as insulting as they come, BUT, he has the ability to laugh and make fun of his own depretiation, ie he tells us he likes a spliff or 3, he makes fun of scousers of which he is one, some of his comments run himself down more than they do anybody who they may be targetted to.
In short, the guy is funny as hell and sharp witted and can take just as much as he gives.
My impression is he just likes a laugh and is a natural poop stirrer  ;D.
For me he makes a welcome change on forums from "what kind of dishy soap is best for stinky jobby underpants" type posts.
Give him as good as you get and I bet you will at some point end up laughing. Which is what he really wants to do by default.

Do you know what kind of dishy soap is best for stinky jobby underpants jobs please mate?

Trying to jump out when the car starts to skid!If you're going to go out in it you must at least know how to drive. The last thing you do if you skid on ice is stamp your foot on the brake.Goes against instinct though,I must admit.

Hello All,

All I can say on this matter is be POSITIVE.

Don't dwell on the negatives.

I'm sure we can all find something constructive to do during this short cold snap.

Happy New Year anyway.

Matt....how are you getting on building up your round.Your not that far from me,just wondered if them leaflets were working for you? :)

Its going ok at the moment Dan, I still have 15,000 leaflets to shift, I wanted them done before the end of January as well.
Maybe get half that amount out if I'm lucky.
How is business your end?

Matt

Sorry matt...just see the reply.
Slow down this end,but only to be expected.I am having a big push this year on gutters, fascias etc....leaflets and local newspaper advertising will be the way to go for me.

Yet another thread where someone gets a few digs then many jump in. It's great that  there's a computer screen to hide behind.  ::)
