Further update.
Went up to Bourton-on-the-water yesterday, along with some of the villages in the area, mainly to test my results of the first day. COncentrated on houses either of incredible quality - i.e. very old type small manor houses of age ( 4-5 bedrooms and over) farmhouses and executive type residences in the villages. Some of these houses will be worth in excess of 1 million!
Did around the same number of houses, (approx 50). Had a lower number of people taking time to talk, although the SAME number poitedly refusing. So the number not having time had gone up. Again, left info and a card.
Now the important part. This time, came away with 20 booked quotes out of the 50. Only 10 that I had talked to for the full 'sales-pitch'. The other 10 have come from those I left information with.
All quotes appoitments are to be confirmed in writing by letter.
These have gone out already and will be with prospects by tomorrow morning!
All quotee's will receive a phone call the night prior to confirm.
I have had ALOT of feedback from all people I have chatted to and the main area I am most pleased about is the fact that approx 75% have thought about carpet cleaning, but would not use yellow pages etc.
The majority of these were also women!
Those that had considered using adverts to get someone in were Men!
I will be doing more of this over the coming weeks and intend writing up the results for my own benefit, anyone who wants a copy of results, along with what I use as a basis of my chat, send me an email with your details.
Just note, these will be mu own findings and I am finding it works for me. It may not work for you in your area. Please bear that in mind!
