will be kitting my van out wfp in jan. my question is can a waste water pipe run uphill to the nearest drain as my van will be parked in a car park infront of the house and its all on a slope. running hoses from the house to the van isn`t a problem just wondered if gravity would effect the waste water

With all the hoses I had in dodgy loops etc last night I think youl be fine. I underestemated the power of push the water had through long and messy hose, but was fine.

I presume we are talking about the waste from the RO unit. If we are then I cant imagine that you will have too much of a problem provided the height is not too great. In the early days I used to process water at the back tap and pipe the pure water over the garage roof into the tanks I had in a trailer.  As there is a fair amount of pressure at the waste pipe I wouldn't see a little height being too much of a problem
If you have the RO in the van then water pressure at the tap will supply the water to the van and a second hose can be directed to the drain. However, you will need to ensure that the van is frost free at night or else the membranes will be damaged if they freeze.

fine for now when it drops below -1 you will have to careful with pipes freezing or slow water flow down

thanks for the reply, its not a massive slope so hoping it`l be fine. my ro will be in the van  so i`ve got an oil filled rad ready or might use loft insulating

If at all possible I would recommend installing a static RO and tank in a garage or shed and then transferring the water.  It's true you can take steps to help prevent frost damage on ROs but inevitably the day will come when you have to shed out £250  for a new RO because of the cold.  A mate just had his go, he'd been spending hundreds on resin before he realised, it was a van set up.

As for draining uphill, with an RO, not a prob.
