you would have no choice but do clean the top frame with your jets like that , i thought most people cleaned brush on anyway if you look at the opposite side of the glass the water reaches the top anyway on most brushes

Im new to Wfp, All the videos i see are rinsing with brush on. Do you mean to take the brush down and then re extend the pole to rinse?

Have you had problems? I generally thought the videos where the way it was being done.

Jeff B has them like that

its not rocket science to make them like that

honesly, buy the brush you want, remove the jets and refit them

rinsing off means rinsing with the brush slightly off the glass by a inch or so.
Rinsing on means the brush touches the glass, this is what worries me coz your brush contains dirt

Oh ok, Surely rinsing on would be a bit contradictive. Thought you rinsed after the brush had scrubbed. So "rinsing on" the brush would always be on the glass after rinsing.

Is it hard to rinse with the brush off then, and would fitting a jet above make it easier? (if it didnt spray all over vents etc.)

Personally I always rinse with the brush on, always have...no problems at all.

All the time you are cleaning, you are also rinsing...it's a continuous process.

I do on occasion rinse off (contradicting what I've just said!) but that is an experience thing, there are times when you know you have to give extra flushing to the glass, but for the most part I don't need to waste my time rinsing off the glass.
Maybe it is also a confidence thing too, if you rinse either on or off the glass you will automatically develop techniques to cope with either method.

just to add to what Ian has just said, first cleans and heavy soiled windows I would rinse off the first time to get rid of much on sills bottoms of windows frames ect..

I do both by the way.

As mentioned, most of the rinsing is done while scrubbing.
I usually rinse with brush off on ground floor and at height rinse with just the leading edge of the brush resting on the glass.
I have also found that the water sometimes sheets better with the brush on.

Use one of those and you will be rinsing the brickwork above the window as well as the windows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!then you will have potential problems with grit etc.
how old is that clip?i dont think ionics use that system any more for the reasons i have stated.

My jets are on Algarde stalks, and are actually on the glass no problem rinsing on, as the water doesn't have to fight it's way through dirty bristles.
That reminds me, I need to convert my superlite brush to this system.
It's dead easy, you drill a 5 mm hole through  the stock, push a length of 6mm Algarde silicon hose through the hole, it's easier to do if you cut the hose so it has a point on one side.
Once you have the hose pushed through, you cut it square, insert your jet into the tube so it's below the surface, and pull the tube back until it's level with the bristles.
I make jets out of plastic, they only need to be about 6mm length, so easy to drill a 2mm hole through.
There is a pic on here somewhere as I posted about it the first time I did it.
search "a new way with jets"

Those are the worst, by far jets you can use for wfp, ever!

Imagine rinsing the top of the glass, the overspray will pretty much go all over the top frame. Drip drip drip, runs of spots.
