If you are struggling getting any tips, what you should do is wear one of those Santa hats while you work. It does work.
Or better still, a pair of those antlers. Not only do you look cool but the customer appreciates your joviality and crosses your palm.
    Give it a go. Please.

I got my annual bottle of red wine, but I guarantee that will be my lot.

I hate getting monetary 'tips' (had very few over the years, btw), it's patronising.

And makes putting the price up each year a touchy subject.

Get paid for what you do, no more and no less.

Do you tip the tax man?  ::)

Strange comments, I hope you refuse all tips.
Do you hand them back saying 'Don't patronise me'

Thought not, after all we work for the money, don't we

I have done ok with the tips, about a ton plus drink and biscuits.

My best tipper has moved away though - she used to ask me to come into the house to pay me on the last clean before xmas and put the cheque into my pocket when she stood up again!!

Far from it actually.

He's a nice guy. Very approachable, chatty. When I knocked on the place to see if they had anyone doing their windows, he said 'I'll give anyone a chance, how much would it be?'

I thought, what a nice person.
