I have to be honest i have never had a call off my website-ever-.

Do people really get work off websites?

http://www.villagegleam.co.uk/

Your SEO needs a little work Clive. It's an easy fix though, your site already looks really good.

Just remember ppl are lazy,.. if you're not on the first page of google you prob wont get any calls.

ive had a look at a few.a lot seem to have terrible spelling mistakes!if u have already got a full round and not interested in employing.is there any point?maybe if u get custys to pay by paypal etc?just makes it all too impersonal like the self scan checkouts at supermarkets IMO!i like to meet and talk to custys.some send me cheques,a lot pay when i clean then i collect once a week for 2 hrs which TBH i enjoy most of the time!!i have contact number on WINDOWS CLEANED TODAY slips along with gutter cleaning/conny roofs advertised/ive got leaflets and business cards as well.i think for a one man band like me its not necessary.just my opinion.

regards

dazmond

your right

mine gets used for paypal and thats about it

i get the odd call, normally out of my "area" and normally just people after a quote and not really that serious

Firstly, I don't have a website myself because I'm lazy and disorganised so I rent a page on Ian's (Windowwasher's) site.
Looks like a reasonable first draft Tosh.  There is something there that I would definitely change though.  Although the site may look fine on your computer, on mine sideways scrolling is necessary in order to see the whole page width.  IMO this is a big nono.  I think this can be rectified by using a "table" tag in the html as this forces a fixed width regardless of which screen resolution a surfer is using.

on the flip side

most choose window cleaning as a stress free business and have no desire to be massive, employ staff etc etc i know people who are that way inclined find it hard to understand, buts its true

Hey, thanks Paul.  I did increase the screen size and it looks fine on my browser, but I know on others it may look different; so thanks.  I'll decrease the size.

Since I've now got a website, I'm not sure I should be posting on this pikey forum anymore.  What's Cleaning pros like these days?  Is it still full of millionaires?
