Why do people put a reserve on items on ebay? You just get loads of emails asking what the reserve is. Why not just put the starting price up??
For what it's worth, I never put a reserve whan I sell on ebay. A guitar worth £700 odd quid went on at 99p. I ended up with over 50 people watching it, all thinking they might get a bargain. they might just fall in love enough to bid even when the price becomes sensible. It's also cheaper to list with a low start and no reserve.PW
