I agree, it's always a confusing one, you want to pay them enough to keep your staff happy, but you also want to make a profit at the end of the day. There's pro's and con's for both paying percentage and paying a flat wage. If you pay a flat wage and are unable to do the work due to weather conditions then you are out of pocket, also if they are doing £200 a day for you and you're just paying them £48, then they feel they are being ripped off.
All our window cleaners are paid on what they do, they get 52% of turnover between them, ie: If a team of two do £300 in a day they'll get £156 between them, or £78 each.
Normally work Mon - Fri, however due to the recent weather the last couple of weeks they've been doing Saturday mornings till 12 o'clock.
We supply all the uniforms, shoes, protective equipment, window cleaning gear, vehicles etc.
