« on: October 29, 2009, 10:51:29 pm »
ok i have made the prototype automatic pole hose cleaner, took it out on a test drive today,  it was a success, brilliant, kept the tubing clean, no dirt passed up into my pole, and it was damp today, my hose was on  wet  soil, sawdus,t from decking grass, mud, it kept everything  retained,  this is only the first day, i will give it a week or 2 , if all goes well then i will have them made,

i will keep you in mind ian, to show how much i trust the device, i fitted it to my new sl-x pole that i used for the first time today, i was taken no chances of dirt getting between the sections, i will only use it on the sl-x and i will report back good or bad, lets hope it keeps working like it did today  ;D

Bump for awesomeness.

Can't wait to see how this even looks like. Sounds like an answer to one very big issue with wfps.  :D

i dont think it  would  be anything you would imagine tim, it is an unusual design,  today i put it under some real conditions, countryside work, slimmy paving damp moss, mole mountains, muddy tramped on grass, tractor track mud, all stayed out of the pole, i am looking for faults to happen, or somthing to go wronge, its early days yet, if it keeps up with this kind of results over the 2 week testing period, i will be really pleased

Does the hose fall back out of the pole when collapsing Jo, or do you need to pull it out of the base?

Of course macmac, just that I cant believe nobody has done this before I did it after I noticed the incredible amount of ware on the SL-X pole sections. It pretty much stopped that sort of ware from the day I attached it.

That's impressive.

the more competiion the better ewan, i have no problems with anyone coming up with new ideas, all i can say is that velcro is not in my invention, mines you just put it on and you forget it is there, you carry on with your normal routin, and the device does it all for you  ;D
