Comming up to Xmas if its worded right you might get a good responce from it .
The key to your add will be how its worded . Make it stand out. But if someone is looking for a window cleaner you will get as good a responce from a free listing on Yell.com

I too have been  thinkin of this!! Just signed up for 5000 leaflets todayand need to push on for more work. Trying to find a good magazine that I think I could get a response from.

JRD there is a mag called The Big Mag that goes throughout NI, you can get an ad in it fr £69.

Also, did you go to the open day at sureclean systems today??

Yes i attended arthurs open day, not bad that new indoor cleaning unit, less mess and it seems to clean the window perfectly without smears, its given me an idea though, which ill not share here incase the rest use it and dont pay for the new system  ;) ;D

The Big Mag whats it? never heard of it?  You in any networking groups, same applies to creggan and in response to creggan also yes its my local version of advert paper, tyrone post it is.  It goes to all businesses and homes via Royal Mail.  Even if i get 150 customers even half that at 75 ill be happy.  Im going to go for it i think.

i was supposed to go to the open day but couldnt make it in the end, i heard all about it from a friend. He says it is an impressive piece of kit - but you would need to be doing some serious amount of insides to justify that money!!

I think the big mag is a new one, search platinum print and you should find out about it. Their design service isnt great but they seem cheap enough to advertise with.

i have been think of trying a newspaper advertisement for a few nights, just to see what the response will be, i have a good idea that i saw someone else do, and they swear it works, this advertisement stops the reader and ask there partner are you needing this paper, why? because you marked it of, see my point because look at the pic, i did query this, but believe it or not it was an extra 25 for the ring round the ad, asking why, they said it uses up a lot of red ink?  but might just go for it

Beware of this type of offer. Often they are a scam and no paper is ever printed or delivered.

The paper does exist as ive got it in the door monthly for years, they are local too.  Still cant say a definite yes though, put it like this i got 2000 flyers printed up, have only got 18 monthly customers out of that and i paid 75 for them, will 30000 adverts in homes get me a better return?
Flyers are in your face, if they are not catchy they hit the bin as quick as they go through a mail box, thats a simple fact. If you dont try the paper you will never know buiness is all a risk, and for £90 odd can you risk it is the question...

I have just spent £430 on a 1/4 page add that I will not know if it works till it does or not. I do know one thing each of the business owners that will be placing an add will be looking at other business owners in it, and it goes out to every home in cambridgeshire

I will try that risk once, with a ref number/name for them to quote for a discount to see if it works or not..

I have I would guess about £500 left to spend on advertising this year and I have a few things up my sleeve that will reap the rewards soon :)

yeah its an impressive piece alright but imo hot worth the outlay unless you are doing alot of windows inside, the main benefit is the fact you can use the pole inside along with your water.  If you think on you will work out what i have in mind :)

No m8 thats not it, its basically the same as your current wfp you use outside exept you have a bottle with pure water in your belt, on the other side is a pump and once you turn the pump on it pumps in through the pole and you squeeze the trigger and out comes a fine mist of pure and then you wipe it off with a head similar to the vikan pole head on the link you gave me infact the vikan set up is much the same idea.
