I have both a T5 and a trafic

Tansporter,

expensive, so need to preserve end of life value
paranoid about scratches, they appear out of nowhere, paint to thin
feel very steady and sure on the road.
quality

Trafic

25 % cheaper
real workhorse, so not too bothered about end of life value
better drive
better features , ie radio controls on steering stalk.

From my point of view, you can get a trafic on the road about £3k cheaper, so for work its a no brainer.

my preference would be a transit, renaults are cheap for a reason, the build quality is poor, unreliable electrics, transits are similar but you can get them fixed a bit cheaper!  8)

some of the transits are made in southampton/  im probably old school, but if i was buying new id do my best to buy a van that was at least  made here . at least the traffics made here ,in luton  /  plus all german vehicles hav no character -FACT ( however i do sometimes use a merc 313   and its great but the 311 isnt)
