I have a Pure freedom van mounted system and it works perfectly. Ocassionaly I have to use the back pack when access may be a problem and I fill the backpack from the van by simply turning on the pump which takes ages . Has anyone modified there system so that there back pack or trolley fill faster? If so, is it easy and what did you do?

dont you carry water containers

No I never have, always just worked direct from the tank in the van

if you carry 25 ltr containers just put them on the trolley, unless your using the trolley as a van mount,

I have a t piece running from the hose between the tank and the pump, it has a shut off switch at the end, place the backpack on the floor and turn the switch on, fills up a lot lot quicker than filling it from the microbore.

get yourself a bilge pump (ebay) cost about £15 you can get one the plugs in to the ciggie lighter

put a couple of metres of hose on it.. perfect

yes but the freedom trolley is a troley system or van mount system, it is both,  if it is for the ocasional job then i would carry a couple of water containers, will save time

Good ideas. I'll try the T-pice idea Matt, sounds simplistic and practical.

My way cost oooh about £10 lol
£1 - T piece
£7.00 - Shut off valve
£2.50 - 2mtr 1/2 inch hose
Plus you dont need to plug anything in to fAg lighters or running from a battery

am not knocking you mb, but why would you want to do all that, if it is being used as a van mount, then the pump from the trolley  takes the water from the tank  from the on board pump, if your using it for the occassional jobs, just add a container that you would carry,  that you filled the night before, it makes sense to do it like that, unless am missunerstanding somethng,

I use a backpack for rear of properties, with this set up 2 of us can work very well, and with this set up I can refill my backpack whilst the other guy uses the hose reel from the van.
its a van mount not a trolley mount.
the original poster has a van mount system and uses a backpack now and then.

a 11 or 15 L per min caravan sub pump, its 12V and will fill a backpack in 1 min

Yep! I use a caravan pump fills the backpack in a minute.

A 12v bilge pump is the best solution in my opinion. Trolley pump, gravity and syphoning is way too slow for my liking.
