Window shattered today......
« on: August 29, 2009, 10:32:08 am »
Worked on a conservatory wfp. Finished clean and moved onto rest of house.

Next thing is a loud bang. Custy comes and finds me and said, 'come and have a look at this', the whole of the apex section above the door, (triangular bit), on the conservatory had shattered........but not the outside pain......

I had been away from the conservatory for at least 20 mins.

Am now a little worried as this is the second time it has happened. The other time was on a normal dg window.

If he was wfp why would he use a conservatory ladder?

Only explanation occurs to me is thermal shock from using hot water.

Been cold wfp 3 1/2 years and never happened to me.
