On the subject of cameras though, the system that Glyn H supplies above is very useful and a lot of companies in the US and more over here are now fitting them to company cars and vans, they are invaluable if the vehicle is in an accident as the evidence is right there to watch.

Under the Data Protection Act, I believe you have to tell every customer by law that they or their property may be recorded/appear on recordings and they have a legal right to request a copy of any footage regarding this.  Same applies with any CCTV that captures you - you can legally request a copy.  The comedian Mark Thompson (think that's his name) a while back was trying to get everyone who walked down the local high street to request a copy of film from the council because he hated CCTV and wanted it removed for some reason.

you must be one paranoid person...

you do need certain systems in place otherwise you will be taken for a ride. Its human nature unfortunately! i'm not sure sticking cameras on helmets is the answer though ;D

oh absolutely, trackers for the vans are a comfortable alternative to cameras tho lol!

christ, imagine sitting their watching, how boring?!

There is a simple and invisible way to check up on the location of your staff and that is to fit a tracker to their vehicle or track their mobile phone. With the right software you can see where the vehicle went during the day, what speed it travelled at where it stopped and how long for. It can even print out a route map showing where it was. There are alarms that can be set to activate to your mobile if it goes of a given route even. I used to use it with a courier business.
Nothing beats hard work!!!!
