Well this might be wild thinking but I was thinking how about having one these mobile police or security cameras fitted to your staff hat or shoulder so you can monitor their days work.

What you think guys?

if you dont trust your employees, which it sounds like, why else would you want to watch their every move, then maybe you should get new ones, rather than getting all big brother on them.

surely you dont want guys working for you that you dont trust?!

plus, i would imagine their are certain laws about filming on someones property without their permission...i for one wouldnt be happy if i saw a guy cleaning my windows with a camera on his person.

Well, no matter how much you trust any staff, they will take jobs from you  here and there , I know because I have had lots of staff in past that no matter how much I looked after them, they still did it. So I have had first hand experience.

In terms of people not been happy to see some one filming their property, well that’s a separate debate, because if your staff are well dressed with uniform, and explain to the customer what they used for I am sure lots of people will understand what these cameras are for.

Well it’s just a thought, that’s why I have brought it to the forum to find out more.

You could mount the cameras in your vehicles facing the road so then you would know where they had been and for how long.
By doing this it would help you to monitor their route,and if ever their was a collision you would have evidence of whos fault it was.

you do need certain systems in place otherwise you will be taken for a ride. Its human nature unfortunately! i'm not sure sticking cameras on helmets is the answer though

its not often i find i cannot post on forums, because the topic is so silly

but strapping a camera to your workforce to watch them work and not skive is just taking it a bit too far in the silly stakes

now i have been thinking, the worker could video himself working aswell, then set the camera up infront of a portable DVD player ( or netbook ) play the recording and have a kip in the back of the van, where he would have rigged up a hammock and a 12 V portable fridge full of bottles of beer

set them a work schedule for the week show them it s workable and then tell them it must be completed and/or get a good supervisor to keep check on your workforce for you
