Citroen Relay 650l WFP van for sale
« on: July 21, 2009, 10:03:01 pm »
Hi Guys

As I have now got a newer van, the old one is up for sale.

Van
2001 Citroen Relay 1000d, 1.9 Peugeot non turbo engine with 99k. Engine and gearbox fine, good tyres (3 new recently), cam-belt replaced 91785 miles on 15/8/2007. MOT, 27/11/2009, RFL 30/11/2009.
Body work is presentable with a few battle scars which are age and mileage related. Seats are in good, clean condition. I have owned the van since Dec 2007 and done about 4200 miles with no problems. Previous owner; Vic Young Motors in Newcastle. All servicing and maintenance done by them.

WFP
650 litre baffled tank, 2 man setup with 2 Varistream digital flow controllers, 2 Shurflo pumps with filters.
120amp leisure battery with split charger relay. 3 bar Tux roofrack with rear roller and unused towbar.

Not included are the ladders on the roofrack, RO system, hose reels or poles.

V5 is in my possession, and van comes with original radio cassette and red key.

Van is located in Saltburn by the Sea, Cleveland.

£2200 ONCO please.

Thanks

Bruce.

Hi
We use a 300GPD RO that has been upgraded to 450GPD. This is housed in the garage and produced during the day into a 1000l IBC tank. We do this as my son also has a van.
I fill up at night and he fills up in the morning.

I once produced water directly from the RO into a trailer I used to use, but now would only us our current route. Of course not having storage facilities would limit your options, but when my son and I work together, we can use the 650l in about 5 hours. We can go back to base and fill up and continue to clean windows. Producing water directly into the van would prevent this. Water production is less in winter so running out of water happened quite often, even with the trailer with a 350l capacity.

There are 3 couplings under the rear bumper, the left and right ones are from the pumps and the centre one is to fill the van from outside.

We also find that an RO on board is much more susceptable to being damaged by frost in the winter. We cover ours in the garage and keep it 'warm' with a 60w light bulb.

A good quality RO system will cost about £300.00. A second hand IBC tank £50.00, transfer pump £50-£60, transfer hose £20.00, cutoff switch and solonoid valve £90.00 and a few other sundry bits £30.00.

Hope this helps with your decision.

Thanks for looking and advising your requirements.

Bruce

Hi Lyndy,
I see that there is a person selling a complete RO system for producing and transfering water for £250.00 in Bournemouth.
