Sad story.
Wonder how long it will be before a 60ft wfp crashes down and seriously injures somebody. Just a thought
?
A 40 ft pole fell on my head this time last year, and gave me concusion. but the worst thing was i also got post-concusion syndrome which took over 8 months to get better, and i can tell you it was an awfull thing to go through, headaches which made me almost blind and sick 3-4 times a week every week.
I'm sure you did feel awful after that happening to you, but not as awful as the poor guys family is feeling now. You're alive to tell the story.............. and that proves point.
All sympathies go to his family.
If it is right that because of some customer complaints he went back to ladder work, then I hope those customers have learnt from this too. A few spots maybe or wet on the ground for a while? No contest against life.
As for all the ladderworkers left in the whole wide world, be clever. ONLY use ladders as a last resort. Whether that ladder climb will earn you £5,000,000 or £50 it isn't worth risking your life. Dead...... you earn nothing.
As for reality now in this case, lets hope his insurances pay out to ease the burden on his family.
