17ft is fine for standard houses
17' is plenty although sometimes an extra foot would be good. I have a few houses that have a 2nd floor window (vertical not velux type) and I can just barely reach the top of them with the 17'. If there was an extra 12" then I could give a better scrub on the window. I used to have an Ionics 18' and it ws a great length but was made very badly and didnt last! Alex - Any plans to extend the 17' (pretty pleaseeeeee)

I noticed yesterday that WCW do a Xtel Xtreme, which has been modified to include aluminium collars to stop wear when the pole is fully closed.Has anybody got any experience with one of these??http://www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk/shop/index.php/Water-Fed-Poles/WCW-XTEL-Xtreme-Carbon/Detailed-product-flyer.html
