If I knew and trusted who I was buying from then I would have no qualms in spending £18k on a business returning £2.5k a month.Bit different shelling that out to a stranger though. There was a round on there for £10k which was claimed returned £5k a month, not that long ago.I spoke to the chap and there was just something that told me not to deal, coupled with the fact I'd just started out and thought I'd be biting off more than I could chew.Having said all that,if the right round came up,in the right area I'd be sorely tempted to pay over the odds,if necessary,to claim it.

it many seem overpriced for some people but it not easy to build a good round up over here else you want everyone rubbish. It does include 06 transit 280 with a 2 men wfp setup and it only takes 14 working days to clean. You could easily spend 20grand on a franchise for a name  and still have to find the work your self. Its cheaper than the 40k one on the same website.

people like you make me laugh  ::)

THE CORRECT AMOUNT??? UP makes these rules up???

you can not say a round is worth 3x its monthly value has every round is different some are alot more proffitable than others. If some one offered me 3x for my round i would simply laugh in there face and continue to make a large profit while i watch them struggle trying to build a round.

MY round is 4 years of hard work sweat and blood and i now have A BUSINESS and its worth as much has any chippy, garage, warehouse or company that makes the same kind of profits.

18k for 2.5k a month is cheap if its good established work.

I think he is selling himself short by a good amount!!

Finally some sense ;)

That is why window cleaning is thought of as a low paid unskilled job because even the window cleaners have the mentality of undervaluing a good sound business.
You just try and find a business that has the same amount of monthly turnover but with ,as much as you can possibly guarantee, a regular and consistant customer base.....fairly impossible i would say.
Window cleaning established rounds are massively undervalued, but that can only be down to the wc's who sell them. The industry needs a total shake up from the ground upwards to enable the professional wc's to earn what they are worth, and sell a business for its true value not what an idiot would offer you down the pub.

?? "rules ??" . . not rules, it's generally what people pay for a round (If they're sensible that is)

why pay £18k for a round if you can get the equivilent for £7k ?? that's a lot of difference.

plus, what assurance have you that the customers will keep you on ?? generally, people don't like change. Most will keep you, but nothing's set in stone. I know people that have lost a lot of bought work !

if you've never done window cleaning before and suddenly jump into a round, how well are you gonna be cleaning the windows ?? You're bound to make mistakes. It's never garaunteed work.

maybe I've been fortunate, I don't know, but I bought £1500 a month of work that averages £40p.h that I paid £1000 for. I had a further £1000 that I paid a month's worth for. I know I got a bargain but I'd never pay more than 3x for work.  I know 6 window cleaners who have bought some work lately, ranging from 2 to 3 times the monthly amount. On this site, people generally offer work for between 2 to 3 times.

I live in the real world, that's why I suggest 3x to be a fair amount.

hahahahah real world dream world mate.

you value any round @3x no matter what PROFIT it makes.

What ever business you buy there are no guarentee cutom it is then your job to run the business properly.

NOT ANY ONE can build and run a successful business other wise everyone would.

how can it be a dream when that's what people are actually paying ??

anyway, if a house takes an hour to do and is priced at £30ph then at 3x you'd pay £90 for it.

if it's priced at £50ph then at the same rate you'd be paying £150 for it. So better paid job = extra £60 to buy.

So yes, you pay more for better priced work without multiplying it more.

I'm not saying that all work is priced at 3x, I'm saying that an awful lot of us have bought good work for either that or less. If it's out there at that price, which it is, why pay more ?? Doesn't make sense.
