Work Swap
« on: March 30, 2009, 04:13:52 pm »
Just wondered if anyone is completely fed up of life and fancy a change. I am looking to move away-anywhere basically. Just wondered if anyone fancied a swap. I have £2,500 commercial/domestic in North Lincolnshire. Its really good work, been established for years. Got married about a year ago and my wife is fed up, wants to move away. Im ready for a change too. Work is cleaned wfp every 4 weeks. 30 mins from the seaside   :) :)

well good luck mate, personally if I was going anywhere away from family etc which I wouldn't really want to do, I would head for america, somewhere warm with loads of semi's to setup shop.

why dont u consider selling and then take the money and buy a round wherever you want to go, your not limited then to just moving wherever you find an interested party, u can go anywhere
sell!

Shame you feel that way. Not easy when you get a black dog as they say.

I had an idea (before we had our third child) of renting out the house and the work, so they get the house with the job, and send you a certain amount each month in return. You would have to trust them though, a lot...
Might give you options if you knew someone...

I would just sell up if i knew there was a good round to buy - problem is work varies in price from area to area. Around here it goes for 3x and 5x for commercial, some i have looked at have been 5x or more, so i wouldnt have all the money i need by selling up. the work i have is really good, great customers and i have worked it years.

have thought about hiring round canvessers - are they any good or waste of money???

Instead of having hassle of moving, getting new work etc why not just do a wife swap, this way you keep your work and home and you also get new inlaws, couldnt think of a better way  ;D

It's not his wife who is the problem - it's the in-laws!  ;D

And if she's prepared to move away (which is nine-tenths of the battle) then I'd skiddaddle!)
It's a game of three halves!

Sell it for 10, 000 mate, perhaps in four parts or something or commercial one round, domestic round - nd then buy enough to cover bills where you move too, then canvass and bank or spend the rest, that is what i would do if i were moving away ....

Good luck
