I have lost a few lately and i'm not really picking up a great deal either so im slightly down not much.

But i'm not worried as i will soon be picking up more work again it sort of evens itself out in the end.

I've lost very little really.  The work I pick up is slightly more than the work I lose still.  However, I expect big layoffs at a local employer in the coming year or so, so this may have some more impact.

I've lost one due to a job loss and another because he's a mortgage advisor.

But there's no one single 'big employer' round here; so I guess we're lucky.

I'm guessing that if you live in an area with, say for example a car manufacturing plant, that employs thousands of 'locals'; and that firm goes bust or cuts everyone's wages/hours; and you have a lot of customers from that factory, then you could lose a few.  Not to mention the other jobs that are off-shoots; relying on that big company's trade.

However, from the little I understand, the last big reccesion in the 1980s really hit the blue collar workers.  But this one is different because it's hitting the white-collar workers in the South-East due to the subsequent growth from the 1980s into the financial sector.

I could be wrong though, I'm just a window cleaner; and a Geordie one at that.

No problem for me down here in the south east.Hopefully stays that way, all customers seem fine,

I'm finding that I'm loosing quite a lot of customers recently.  Either that or I have to drop them myself due to the fact that they keep not having them done.  Recently I have also found that when I get a new customer I clean them once and then I find out that they only wanted it as a one off despite not making that clear at the start.  I hate it when customers do that.
