I have seen 3 windowcleaners on here working fairly regularly, and I'm not one of them.Funny old game.I live in an estate of about 40 houses, and there's at least six window cleaners who pull up and clean various houses and leave; though one window cleaner seems to do the bulk of them.I only do two of my elderly ex-soldier neighbors; but I do them for free; the mug I am, and one of them is a detached house with a large/awkward conservatory with a massive fish pond making access difficult.I tell them I'd charge them at least £25 if I was asked to quote; and they just laugh as if that's a ridiculously high price!
I never do any of the houses in my vicinity. In fact until a couple of years ago I didn't have single job in the town (50,000 population) I live in. I do now have a couple of apartment blocks, but they are not on my doorstep. If any neighbours ask for a window cleaner I give them the telephone number of one of our sub-contractors who also cleans my windows.
I've got £100 worth of work in my small cul-de-sac. I prefer not to do it especially if the weather is iffy. Still, it's only money.I'm sure they all think they are getting a discount, funny thing is they are my best priced jobs.
