It's not that I cant take critisim but the fact that we spoke at the show, i said i would make it a priority to sort out when back Friday - which i did. You seemed happy. Friday  I was told the pump was back from repair and was being returned to you. Fantastic, if you ordered again we would sort you with some discount, case closed.

Then i see a post Friday night slagging the company we worked hard to built up over the years.  :'( whats going on?

my system was from a company in hull which originally had a shurflo pump fitted. as i have found with all shurflos the pressure switch doesnt last very long so i always carried a spare after the first time

Now the reason i've asked who made your system is because of what we talked about at the show. If you have pressure switch problem 99/100 times it is because your system is not set-up correctly. The vast majortiy of pump problems is the pressure switch burning out - this will keep happening again and again. I would go back to the company who made it and get them to sort the problem out - changing the pump wont really make a difference, its only a matter of time before it breaks down again. The pump manufactures will claim this as user error and will void any warranty.

I will speak to Craig on Monday about why he said Friday and it didn't happen.

I have dealt with Window Cleaning warehouse for 3 years now and I would say there customer service is second to none.

If I have a problem they deal with it straight away and the spares are there the next day.

If you buy from a supplier regularly you will find they will just send a pump out staright away no questions asked, I wouldnt expect to buy a system from one place, then buy a pump from another and expect the same level of service, i would expect the 30 day rule as well.

If you build a relationship with a supplier instead of just fishing fo the cheapest items, you will get a lot more in return.

I too have found window cleaning warehouse to be a first rate company to deal with.

I avoid the pressure pump problem by having my flow control between the pump and the van tank...the pressure switch never gets activated then....no, I retract that!...well, a little anyway...the pressure switch only cuts in when I disconnect the pole hose, it simply shuts off the pump when maximum pressure builds up, but of course the thing that causes the burn out is the constant switching on and off and pump cycling where it is cutting in and out rapidly and so on.
And having the flow control on the low pressure side eliminates this.

And people....

Steve has defended himself well in reposte to Wizcleans allegations, but allegations of such a nature on a forum such as this can possibly have a real effect on someone's business in the real world and I am quite sure that Mike doesn't want to be dragged into anything of a legal nature!

Adding a varistream will totally eliminate the use of the pumps mechanical pressure switch. ;)

I too use wcw without any problems. I said hello to guys at the show on Thursday and had a chat etc. I've spent about £2,000 with them without any probs. If somethings not right they'll replace it straight away and also give you discount.

No offense ian, but isn't that just the risk you take when you set up a forum?

Its a bit pointless to say "dont say anythng that could be liable because the owners might get into trouble and there's only a couple of us mods here" without sounding harsh I would say thats just tough luck.  If you dont want the risk then nobody's forcing you to have a bulletin board are they?

It's a forum.  People are going to say what they think, good and bad.

my system works fine the problems were common 6 years ago hence the introduction of the vari stream to the market to take place of the pressure switch. i dont feel i was slagging your company off but was pointing out a bad service i had had and asking if i was the only one.
i understand you were at the cleaning show until late thursday but its not you i was originally dealing with. as explained when i first spoke to craig i was told a one week turn around, after i got back from holiday no pump hence i made a call to find out the situation. next told a couple of days so as you can appreciate a bit disappointed hence my discussion with you on tuesday. was not as annoyed because as explained craig had told me a couple of days on monday when we spoke, but then after another phone call to yourselves late wednesday a new timescale was promised which meant i would have the pump for friday. friday i personally waited in the morning and my wife in the afternoon. late friday i again phoned yourselves to find out the situation and as im sure you would feel the same felt very annoyed. the situation could have been resolved if i was given a honest timescale. i could have arranged to sort something out. i feel that i have been more than reasonable and as i have said this is the first problem i have had with yourselves, i just believe you should change your policy regarding the sale of pumps and make it quite clear from the outset that any faulty pumps may take 28 days to rectify and there fore as a company recommend you buy a second. then it would be my problem if i decided not to and not yours.
that was the reason for the originall post then im sure you were frustated by the situation and made your post which inturn infurated me even more. if you would like to discuss it more with me please feel free to ring, you should have my details.

Exactly what is the point of this thread Wizclean?

It achieves absolutely nothing at all.

Come on get real. It's only a pump and a little forward planning on your part by having a back up available would have avoided this situation. There are two sides to every story as anyone with any real intelligence knows.

I will tell you the aim of this thread. It's 100% to get at WCW and give them a hard time in public. Don't try and dress it up as anything else.

Can you claim with 100% honesty that you have always, without fail, within time scale made good on all your promises or assurances to your customers?  If you can then you are a superman.

Think this post should be locked now wiz.

And Ian why is this post still active, you say Mike would not be to happy if slander (or what ever you called it) was put on yet the post is still active ::) ::) ::)

I can understand Wiz being annoyed, I had a problem with a supplier myself a couple of weeks ago, but I sorted it out with them directly and not over a forum. Wcw do offer a good service, there will always be cock-ups we are all human. The guy replied to the post, he did not have to, he could have ignored it, to me this shows willing.

Someone lock the topic  ;) be it wiz, dave, Ian or Mike

Because it slags off a competitor, if it was express cleaning being given negatives it would of been locked and probs deleted a long time ago.

From all the comments i would say the publicity and advertising for yourselves is great and in the future you will have gained another customer in me.  Ionics grew in stature from all the slating they took on this site and if it wasnt for cleanitup ionics wouldnt have had £24,000 woth of business from me in the last 5 years.  So be happy for every time someone reads this thread your customer base will grow ;D

So a guy complains about a pump and another guy buys a website on the strength of the debate and a moderator does a bit of groveling for a discount.

IMO complaints against manufacturers should be aired on forums as a last resort, after every last method of direct contact hasn't worked. These companies work hard to build up and maintain their customer satisfaction the same as we do with our customers. Don't do your dirty washing in public, take it elsewhere 1st. I have no problems with WCW and find they conduct themselves very professionally.
