This is the reason we stopped selling pumps as over a two year period due to the manufacturers poor warranty policies, we lost money selling 100's of pumps.

I think it is about time that a pump maker, makes a pump for wfp, seems they dont give a dam, maybe if everyone stopped using one type they may sit up and listen :-\, the like of wcw alex freedom, cleaning spot ect are screwed because of the people that make them, lazy lazy lazy people that make them.

I know that dont help yo but thats the simple truth

yes i dont have to pay for repair but two weeks with a van off the road count the cost. i was originally told one week which i was lucky enough to be on holiday for, foolishly thinking upon my return to spend the weekend putting the van back together so to speak. otherwise i would have bought another pump to make sure i can work

I know this is going to sound harsh but you should always have a back-up, i learnt this the hard way aswell, so i know how your feeling.

Xline certainly looked the part at the show....

1 thing you could mention to WCW is that the contract you made was with THEM and NOT the actual manufacturer. Local radio has a weekly phone in to a top guy in trading standards and he dishes out free advice and that is one thing he is almost constantly drumming it in to people......

talking about poor customer service his another suplier that is not very serious  www.windowcleaning-equipment.co.uk
bought a unger pole from them ,received it and decided that is hard to work with it so tried to contact them to send it back.no one is answering the phone.emailed 3 times before they got in contact with me and ask  for instruction to send it back as unsuitable for my needs.they have a 7 day refund policy.has now expired has he doesn't respond to my calls or emails.
is it any way i could track him down?or make a complaint to an authorithy?thanks

Let's see the other side......

Phillp, had a nice chat at the show, you seemed a reasonable bloke and we addressed your problem. If you look at most companys policys after 30 days of purchase if a fault is found, you will find they aim to have things sorted within 28 days. Your pump came back to us today and was sent straight out (14 days = half that time). I said as soon as i was back in the office on Friday i would make sure this was dealt with as a priority and should you order with us again, would give you a discount as a goodwill guesture and even offered a new replacement pump (bearing in mind we do not make the pump and are stuck in the middle of this).

I am very dissapointed you felt you needed to air our conversation on a public forum the minute you got the chance, despite you seeming satifised when you left. We have done everything and more required, but thats not enough for some people  ::). I suggest you try other suppliers in future and see how they deal with it, also feel free to contact trading standards if you feel you've been mugged off. I just hope your customers are as forgiving when you have a problem!!  ;D ;D

Ian, sorry for offending you by trying to look smart  :o! I thought the idea was to raise the profile of the window cleaning image? When quoting do you not wear a suit on a walk round? If you want to go back to the george formby days.....

We've done the show for a number of years and each time have been swamped -  to the point that we get complaints. Good on X-line if they had a good show, quite a few out there copy what we do - but to pay £8000 for a jumble sale is not our bag. Been there and done it. We took a different tact this year (which has paid dividends) as we wanted to talk to people without the chaos and have some breathing space (but looking a wizclean's post i'm starting to regret it!! ;D).

I did see you and was hoping to have a chat about something you may be interested in, but by the time i was finished you had moved on. But then again at the last Windex show you talked me into selling stuff to you at a loss, so maybe it wasn't that bad!  ;D
