Hi guys, just thought I would share this thought with you. Did a regular customers house on thursday. 5 mins after starting there was an almighty bang and a blue flash. Realising it couldnt have come from the pole (shows how surprised we were to even think it could), the problem was found in a dark brown fusebox located about a foot away from the window we were working on. Obviously some water splashed onto box from window when rinsing. Problem was what to do?
First thought was as customer would not return for several hours could just leave, say nothing and return to finish job in a few days. Trouble is they could have got home, possibly in the dark with no idea why they had no power.
So decided only option was to leave a note explaining what had happened and that we were responsible. Asked customer to ring me, but she didnt
Went back a few days later to check. She was so pleased that I had left the note, no problems caused from fusebox bl;owing, and instead of losing a customer, she knows she can trust us on her property. I felt really good knowing we had done the right thing

Wow, wish I had the bottle to do that. I think I would have packed away and sneeked off :. No, you did the right thing and I bet you will reap the benefits from your honesty, a happy custy tells 10 people they are happy with you. An unhappy custy would tell 50 people they are unhappy with you.
Bet you will get more custies through her telling her mates.

broke a window other week when custy was out. I hung about and told her what happened and she was cool with me. Told her not to pay me as i had broked piece of glass in her door. Offered to pay for it to be fixed but she refused saying accidents happen

Found a mobile outside a custies once, turned out to be her dad's, got extra work for my honesty, though it wouldn't occur to me keep it.

well fri gone i was pulling my hose round a wall in the front garden and i pulled the wall done i couldnt believe it, it casme down.

i left a note and am now paying for it but the wall must of been un stable but i guess it was fine b4 i pulled my hose round it so im paying.
lucky ot wasnt a kid leaning on it.
