HOST LIBERATOR "DRY" CARPET CLEANING MACHINE FOR SALE
« on: January 28, 2009, 03:08:28 pm »
Not often one of these comes on the market.

Host are the Rolls Royce of the dry carpet cleaning machines - this is the top of the range Liberator and retails new for around £3100 + VAT.
It has the two counter rotating brushes coupled with an powerful vacuum cleaner on board. Powered from a standard 13a plug with a good length of cable.

This machine is used, not new, unfortunately the previous owner has passed away.

The Host method of cleaning carpets is as dry as it can be (apart from just vacuuming).
The proceedure is:
1) Use the machine to lift the pile of the carpet, brushing loose dirt to the surface with the counter rotating brushes and vacuum the loose debris all in one go.
2) Apply the Host "sponges" (or from a different supplier like Envirodri) by hand or via an applicator.
3) Use the brushes to agitate these sponges into the carpet. (no vacuum at this point).
4) Leave for about 20 - 30 minutes for the "sponges" to break down the sticky dirt and absorb.
5) Use the brushes to lift the now dry sponges and vacuum at the same time.
6) Empty on board clear bagless hopper of dirty sponges.
Job done and the carpet looks and smells clean and fresh.

(there are various spotters available to assist in removing stubborn spots).

Can be used in domestic situations but comes into its own in larger premises such as commercial offices, hotels, libraries, municipal buildings, communal areas in flats etc.
Can also be used just as a vacuum cleaner but with the added benefit of having the counter rotating brushes to really dig in to the carpet for loose dirt and lift the pile.

The pair of brushes with the machine are black/white but softer and harder brushes are available from Host. It only takes a couple of minutes to change a pair of brushes.

The main brush/vac unit sits on its own tray which has 2 large 8" wheels enabling it to be wheeled into position and pulled up steps/stairs.

The unit is generally in good cosmetic condition, few scratches here and there.

Whether you want a pile lifter or a complete "dry" carpet cleaner to set up as Bone Dry franchise does - here is the machine.

Will accept offers around £800

Sorry Joe, but you don't leave the sponges down 20 - 30 mins before vacuuming as you need to vacuum them damp. That method is for machines without a vac.

Copied from the Host web site

How Does HOST® Work?
HOST Dry Carpet Cleaner Dissolves and Traps Dirt. HOST Dry Carpet Cleaner is all natural and contains a balanced blend of moisture, detergent and a small amount of safe-to-use solvents. HOST dissolves and traps greasy, oily dirt, spots and odors as it is brushed into the carpet. To remove, wait for about an hour and simply vacuum. Because HOST is a low-moisture cleaner, carpet can be walked on during cleaning and is ready for use immediately after cleaning.

The equivalent to that from Solutions UK has been withdrawn from the market due to technical problems.
(think they made in China)
Dont know how the Flexi 5 stands.

Chris the flex5 looks a good piece of kit but maybe because it is so easy to use and inexpensive(£1500) i think then if your customers esecially commercial see you using it they might well think they could do it themselves hence losing you work.I use two host freestyle machines with my mate Jon on commercial contracts and always try to give the impression its a big bit of kit for big boys.Lots of companies are cutting back now so bare this in mind when making a decision.Regards Alan Turner(swindon)

Cannot see Chemspec introducing an inferior machine

Joe. You wonder why Solutions gets a bad name. The Flexi 5 comes from Holland. It is exactly the same machine that Solutions were supposedly selling only problem was the manufacturers had signed an exclusive deal with Chemspec Europe. They therefore couldn't sell them, as well as advertising the price at cost. Then they peddle this garbage >:(

How long before people wake up to Solutions constant lies?
